Trentemoult is a former fishing village on an island, which does not belong to Nantes but to Rezé, a small area neighbouring Nantes. The village with its narrow streets is surrounded by the waters of Loire and Seil, the latter being an arm of the former.

Today Trentemoult’s inhabitants, most of them artists, artisans and small entrepreneurs, do not fish anymore, but enjoy other kinds of activities, mostly related to artistic life, small businesses and tourism.
