Isola Santa Maria, Santa Maria Island in English, was our second stop during our boat trip for exploring La Maddalena National Park of Sardinia. We left La Maddalena island and we headed to the Santa Maria Island.
The Island is located between the Razzoli and Budelli Islands and it has a surface of only 2 square km and a perimeter of about 10 km.
We stopped on the beach Cala Santa Maria, where we admired the fine white sand and crystal clear waters, which shined in the sun in beautiful emerald and turquoise shades. The landscape is breath-taking. Everything looks like a piece of paradise on earth.
There is only one family permanently living on this island. In summer time some more family live here at their summer houses.
